As I reflect on 2014, I can’t say enough of how blessed and thankful I am for everything in my life.  When I sat down to review sessions from this past year, I was overwhelmed with gratitude.  I am extremely thankful for all of you.  I just love seeing returning clients to see how much their children have grown in the past year.  It is so fun to watch them actually enjoy our photo sessions and look forward to the next one!    The social butterfly in me absolutely loves meeting NEW clients and getting to know them and their families too.  This job is a fantastic “dream” job that I don’t take for granted.  The busy season can sometimes make me which that I had a “clone” but I am blessed with work and even more so, I am blessed to do something that I LOVE!

I am also so thankful to all of the mentors that have so graciously shared their knowledge and skills  to help me grow both professionally and personally this past year.   Finally, I have to give a BIG shout out to the incredible group of local photographers that I am VERY blessed to call my friends.  In a business that can be hard to find honest & true friends, this group of girls has been phenomenal.  We have shared so many laughs, good times & trips throughout the year as well as collaborative photography efforts!  You girls are just incredible!  BAHAMAS forever!  XOXO

Here is just a little sample of some of my sessions from 2014.  I could not fit a picture from each session this past year so if you don’t see yours in the mix, look for a blog post about your session coming soon!!!

Thank you again for a fabulous year and I can’t wait to see you all in 2015!!!

Okay, I think it is safe to say that I have a little crush on all of the ballerinas and dancers I have  had the privilege of shooting lately.  The grace and fluidity of their movements, their beautiful poses and lines and the absolute dedication and  commitment to their craft is impressive to say the least.  Here is just one of the girls I have seen lately and I am sure that GREAT things are in her future.  She is an amazing talent!

This past summer I had the absolute pleasure of taking a workshop from the fabulous Michele Anderson of Pinkle Toes Photography .  I had long admired her work and was thrilled to be able to meet her and absorb all of her amazingness.  She is super talented and SO MUCH FUN to be around.  Whether you are new to photography or a seasoned professional, you will walk away from this workshop feeling inspired and with a ton of new techniques and perspectives.  What I didn’t expect is to also meet so many wonderful and crazy fun people.  We laughed until we cried almost every free moment we had that weekend.  I feel so fortunate for this experience and that I am happy be able to walk away with so many new friends.

Have a look at one of my new, ultra talented friends, Sabrina of  Sabrina Gebhardt Photography, Fort Worth Newborn, Lifestyle Photographer to see what she had to say about the workshop.

It’s no secret that I love animals so when I get a chance to capture that special bond between a human and an animal – I jump at it! Ms. B certainly didn’t disappoint. Her love for Rio is abundant as is his for her. This sweet pair certainly does prove that LOVE is the tie that binds.

This was such a fun way to spend a Saturday morning! She was “on the go” most of our session but had the sweetest pout I’ve ever seen!
